Within the Ottoman province of Akka and the Galilee, the Saouli family was documented as a prominent household among the Ashraf scholarly elite of northern Palestine.
They were responsible for overseeing the authentication of Prophetic descent, issuing Hujjat al-Siyāda to verified claimants, and maintaining the regional genealogical registers for northern Palestine under Akka's administration.
Archival Ottoman census and registration records document the Ṣūlī (Saouli) family in the village of al-Rama, Akka and neighboring towns within the Akka district, while modern descendants are associated with Haifa, Palestine and al-Taybeh in Jabal ʿĀmil.
ضمن لواء عكّا العثماني والجليل، وُثِّقت عائلة الصعولي (Saouli) كإحدى الأسر البارزة ضمن النخبة العلمية من الأشراف في شمال فلسطين.
وقد اضطلعت العائلة بمسؤولية الإشراف على تثبيت وصحة الانتساب النبوي، وإصدار حُجَج السيادة للمُدَّعين الذين ثبت نسبهم، إضافة إلى حفظ السجلات النَّسَبية الإقليمية لشمال فلسطين تحت إدارة عكّا.
وتُظهر سجلات التعداد والتسجيل العثمانية المحفوظة في الأرشيف توثيق وجود عائلة الصولي (الصعولي) في قرية الرامة، ولواء عكّا، وفي بلدات مجاورة ضمن قضاء عكّا، بينما يُنسب أحفاد العائلة في العصر الحديث إلى مدينة حيفا في فلسطين، وإلى بلدة الطيبة في جبل عامل.
